Happy New Year!
Like everyone else, my 2020 plans were thrown upside down but I’ve been learning to adapt. Starting early last month, I switched from painting in my studio to painting in a corner of my bedroom. I wasn’t a big fan of moving my painting operation from my studio to my bedroom, but I thought it was important to work from home as the New York City virus cases have gone back up. So far painting from my bedroom has largely worked out which has surprised me — in the last month I’ve made 4 paintings and sold 12 which is great. One of the paintings I sold last month turned out to be the100th landscape painting I’ve sold! The painting is of an iguana in the grass and was one of the first landscape paintings I made in early 2017.

Now that I’ve been learning to adapt, I feel like I’m able to set some ambitious artistic goals for 2021, including making lots of new paintings, hosting more Instagram Lives, artist interviews, and upping my blog post frequency to weekly.
